Variety has always been one of my favorite mottos. For the sake of variety, I decided to do something completely different: I teamed up with a fellow painter, who also happens to be a very good friend of mine, to create a collaborative painting.

Now, painting together is not unusual by itself. But what made this project truly exciting was the challenge of creating harmony on the canvas despite our differences. We come from different generations, different perspectives, and even our artistic styles are worlds apart. While Tivadar works with oil paints and embraces a classical, realistic style, I paint modern, contemporary pieces with acrylic.

This collaboration was a chance to experiment, to see how our ideas and techniques would merge into one vision. And let me tell you—so far, it looks like it’s working!

The Inspiration Behind the Artwork

The theme of the painting was not the result of a carefully crafted plan—it came to us in a sudden flash of inspiration. Michael Jackson instantly felt like the perfect subject. After all, he is a legend, the King of Pop, and even the youngest generations know his music and iconic dance moves. We experience this firsthand during live painting sessions, where his name always sparks recognition and excitement.

With this artwork, we wanted to pay tribute to Michael Jackson, to celebrate his timeless legacy, and in a way, bring him back to life—because legends never truly die. They live on through music, art, and the hearts of those they continue to inspire.
