Why Is It So Good to Connect with Nature?
These days, we hear it everywhere: connect with nature. But what does that actually mean?
To me, it means becoming part of it. Our entire world is a network of energy. Everything—living or not—emits energy. So we’re all constantly interacting and exchanging energy with everything around us. This is especially true when we connect through art and nature, which often mirror one another in powerful, subtle ways.

I absolutely love spending time outdoors. Even though I live in a city, I’m lucky to have a beautiful park nearby that’s been wonderfully transformed. When I run there, I pay attention to how the scenery changes with each season. I go not just to move my body, but to recharge my soul, stretch my mind, get inspired, feel the essence of life—to connect. Art and nature both have this ability to reconnect us with something deeper.

In my last post, I wrote about the calming effect of the color blue – https://helgamarosiart.com/the-power-of-blue/. Nature, this living and breathing miracle, has the same power. It soothes the nervous system, lowers stress levels, sparks creativity, produces oxygen—basically, it offers everything we humans need to live a fuller, more elevated life.
And when you combine the power of art and nature, their effect multiplies: the visual and emotional harmony they create can be deeply healing.

I truly believe that plants are sentient beings. And when we support one another’s energy, we contribute to a higher-frequency, more beautiful world—just like when we create or experience something that blends art and nature into one soulful expression.
Why Is It So Good to Connect with Art?
Art is an aesthetic experience—but it also speaks to the viewer. It doesn’t just carry the message of the artist. It also reflects the inner world of the person looking at it.

We all interpret a piece of art through our own emotional lens. The shapes, the colors, the scenes—they all affect us and speak to us, if we allow ourselves to feel the energy behind them.
Try it: take a moment to pause in front of an artwork. Notice your feelings. Let the energy it emits flow through you. Aesthetic experience moves us on such a fine frequency that it can actually shift negativity into something lighter. It raises your vibration. And that’s beautiful—because it simply makes you feel better.

Sometimes, after a run, when I have more time, I wander around the park, discovering little hidden treasures. Or I pop into the nearby art gallery. I love how art and nature sit so close together here. In moments like these, I get double inspiration—for my own artworks or just for living life more harmoniously.
This overlap between art and nature isn’t just a source of inspiration—it’s a way of life.
